Who Really Cares? — It is fairly easy to care for those close to us, those who are near and dear to our hearts. But as Christians aren’t we called to care for all people in the name of Jesus Christ? Yet, who really cares? Galatians 6:9 says, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest . . .” How do we do this? James 2:15 states, “Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food . . .” but it’s easy to respond, “That’s not my problem. Why should we help?” Jesus even tells us to sell our possessions and give to the poor (Luke 12:32-34). Do we hear His words? If you come to this session you will learn practical ways to minister to those in need with the goal of caring for them according to Christ’s command and bringing them into the kingdom of Christ.

Mrs. Kathy Schulz
Mrs. Kathy Schulz is a member of Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church, St. Peter, MO, and an editor of GOOD NEWS Journal.

Using GOOD NEWS Magazine in Evangelism — This session will provide suggestions for making use of GOOD NEWS Magazine both in personal and congregational outreach. Above all, the miraculous, life-giving power of God’s Word will be emphasized.
