The Parish Education Committee of the Central Illinois District offers programs and assistance to congregations in Christian education other than the full-time schools.  Activities include:

• Sunday School Teacher workshops  (The 2007 workshop is scheduled for Saturday, October 27 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Springfield.)
• Volunteer Teacher of the Year, a nomination-based program for recognizing the service of Sunday School teachers throughout our district.
• The CID Bible Bowl.  The committee works with Pastor Mark Eddy in hosting this annual event at Lutheran High School, Springfield.  Teams from around the District compete each year as the culminating event to circuit competitions.
