Human Care

Christian Citizenship

We sing, “God bless our native land.” One of the ways for Him to do so is through His people, as we act in our capacity as citizens. For new updates, click here.

A Million Dollar Match

Starting in 2022, The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) will offer $1 million in matching grants. These funds will help the Synod’s member congregations to support various local pro-life efforts, both big and small.

The people of the LCMS love children and families. Through many acts of mercy in their communities, we demonstrate this love. The $1 million match will mobilize still more love in action.

Caring for Church Workers and Those They Serve

Suggestions for an Effective Pastoral Visit

Chaplain Jeff Harter, CID Human Care Committee Chairman, has compiled a list of suggestions for pastors and other church workers making visits in nursing homes or hospitals. Others can benefit from this list too. A number of facilities are maintaining significant restrictions on visitors. Still, keep these suggestions tucked away for future use!
